Playstation 4: (PS4)
I purchased a Refurbished unit for a really good price. This is the Slim model with 500gb hard drive.
Playstation 3: (PS3)
This is the later version of the PlayStation 3. The slim version. Model CECH-4001B.
I would have preferred to get the earlier version with the front loading game slot. The top of the console opens too easily and I feel the lens will easily be damaged by accident. I bought this console on Black Friday for a great price, and its lasted many years so far.
We have 4 controllers for the ps3. We have 3 wireless controllers and 1 USB controller.
Playstation 2: (PS2)
I received this PS2 console as a gift from a friend. Model SCPH-30001. It was around 2007 when I added a TV to the back seat of my car, but I had nothing connected to it. I purchased the TV on clearance and got a really good price on it. My friend offered me his PS2 to use. Another friend let us borrow his brand new copy of Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland. I quickly learned a lesson to never use the console while the car is driving! We ended up with a scratched disk! About a year later I asked my friend if he wanted his PS2 back and he said I could have it, he took his brothers PS2 to use.
We only have 1 working PS2 controller, another lesson learned. I let my friend borrow 2 of my PS2 controllers and when he returned them, both of them had water damage and bite marks from his dog! The controller above I found at a thrift store for only $3. I also found the multitap adapter at another thrift store and had to get it.
Playstation 1: (PS1)
This is my PS1. I do not remember how I acquired this console. It may have been another thrift store find. I do not have any official PS1 controllers, but the PS2 controller works fine!
Xbox ONE:
This console was actually purchased for full price. I figured it was a good deal with the extra game and the hot wheels add on seemed cool. I also bought the new Assassins creed and south park game to go with it.
Xbox 360:
This Xbox 360 was purchased from a thrift store for only $40. Model Xbox 360S. I was excited to get this console because Microsoft should have fixed the over heating issues with this model.
I have owned 3 other Xbox 360’s but they had overheating issues, one had the Ring of Death, one started to display all the video in green color then stopped working, the other one started to have color issues too and stopped working. I sold all 3 broken consoles with all my games and controllers to a video game store in Colorado on eBay.
I purchased these controllers before I bought the Xbox 360. I bought them to play PC games but never used them until I bought this 360 console.
We also have a Kinect for this Xbox 360 but forgot to get a picture of it.
Xbox:
I found this original Xbox at a thrift store for only $25. This came with 2 controllers, power and video cords. I connected it to a TV in the store and it worked and played a music CD. SCORE!
Wii U:
Here is our 32Gb Wii U Console with built in Mario Kart 8
We also have the Wii U pro Controller with Retro SNES style.
Wii:
This is my wife’s Wii console. She loves this thing!
Bonus, It can also play Game Cube games! I just ordered a game cube controller for her because we just started to collect Game Cube games.
I also forgot to get pictures of her controllers.
Gamecube:
We found this GameCube at the thrift store for $25. We already had a few controllers because we would play GameCube games on the Wii. I already had the power cord at home (from another thrift store for $1) and so we took a chance and bought it. It came with a memory card and a game! We got home and started playing it, so much fun!
Even came with Mario Party 7!
The next week we went back to the same thrift store and they had the power pack and a gamecube microphone! I bought the microphone for $3.99 but I already had the power pack so I left that for someone else.
Sega Dreamcast:
This is our Sega Dreamcast. We purchased this from a video game store we frequent. This video game store sells nothing but classic games and consoles and have good prices.
I also just purchased a second controller.

Nintendo 64: (N64)
My Nintendo 64. Model NUS-001(USA). I have had this since I was a kid. When I was a teenager in high school, my dad was letting his girlfriend borrow most of my games for her kids and she never returned them. We went to her house to demand them back and she returned only 1 game!
Super Nintendo: (SNES)
This is my wife’s Super Nintendo. Model SNS-001. She only had one game for it and did not ever use it. I took it over. When I was a kid I had the super Nintendo when it came out. My grandparents went to pick up their order at Circuit City and the pickup area made a mistake and included a SNES in their bag of items. They did not know until they got home and well, I got a new gift! By the time I was in high school I had over 20 games for this console and I was stupid enough to sell it to a friend in high school!
Nintendo: (NES)
Here is my NES top loader! Model NES-101. My friend was moving and getting rid of things and he offered me this console. I grew up playing with my dad’s NES when I was really young, but when he sold his RV he included the original NES with the RV. He had converted the NES to run on 12V power from the RV, and it was wired in.
Sega Genesis 16 bit:
My SEGA Genesis 16 bit console. Model 1601. I purchased this at the Outlets for only $3! It even included the OEM Power Adapter! I remember when I was a little kid we would go to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins on my dad’s side of the family and they had this Sega console. My first view of this was them playing bust-a-move. I did not know anything about this console and was amazed by the strange controller.
Sega Master System:
Sadly, I no longer have my Sega Master System. My uncle moved into his first house and he did not have cable TV. I gave him my Sega master system to use. He never used it then donated it to the thrift store!!!! I cant believe he did not offer it back to me! I had a huge collection of games, the gun and even the 3D glasses! At least I still have the gun and the 2 controllers.
UPDATE – I now have a Sega Master system again!!!!

Sony PSP:
My wife had the Silver PSP above. Model PSP-2001. My PSP is the bottom black one. Model PSP-1001. I created my PSP using 3 broken consoles I purchased for cheap on eBay. There was one point where I was in college and I spilled my coffee on the psp and the screen absorbed the coffee. After I let the PSP dry I tested it and the screen displayed a coffee color image. It took weeks for it to “dry out” and the image started to come back to normal.
Nintendo Switch:
We were going to wait for black Friday deals for this console, but since it was just released we do not think there will be any sales and their may be shortages around the holiday.

Nintendo 3DS XL:
The 3DS XL model was on sale and I purchased it for my wife at the same time I bought the new Xbox One console. My wife already has a bunch of 3DS and DS games she had been collecting so this is a perfect console for her.
Nintendo DSi:
This is my Wife’s Nintendo DSi. I bought this for her on eBay for only $20 because the screen has a small area on the top right corner that displays a blue spot. The console works great and came with a charger too!
Nintendo DS:
These are my Wife’s Nintendo DS consoles. The top one was her main console, but the hinge is damaged so the screen moves when playing. We purchased the middle console for $5 which has a broken upper LCD screen which we were going to use for parts to repair her console. Then we found the 3rd console for $13 which works perfectly. She has been using this console until I found the DSi for her.
Game boy Advance SP: (SP)
We purchased the Game Boy Advance SP from a thrift store for $3.99 with a game and the charger included. It also worked without us charging it! wow, what a find!
It works!

Game boy Advance: (GBA)
My wife’s Game Boy Advance. We also found this at a thrift store for about $8.
Game boy Color: (GBC)
My wife’s Game Boy Color. We bought this at a thrift store and it came with several Game Boy games! What a deal. We do not remember what we paid but it was under $15.

Computers: (PC)
I have several computers which I use for gaming.
My main computer is the AMD Ryzen 1700x with 32GB ram. You can read about it on the Equipment we use page.
I also have an old Compaq Prosignia Windows 98 computer I use for retro gaming.
There are many other computers which I will cover later.
I plan to have a computer for each version of Windows from DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows vista, Windows 7 and more. I have been working on this in my free time.
HTC Vive: (VR)
This is our HTC Vive Virtual Reality setup. We purchased this on sale for $600, but it also came with a RX480 video card which I sold for $200. Total cost for this was only $400! That’s half the current price of $800.
