Sim card reader (Early 2000s)

Back in the early 2000s, many companies made phones with different operating systems, most did not support transferring contacts directly to another phone.

Some phones can connect to the PC with IR, USB or Serial connections, but transfer options were set by the included software, including exported file formats. This Sim Reader product helped by giving a cheap device that can read sim cards, backup the contacts, and write contacts to a new sim card using a keyboard instead of the phones dial pad.
